Shadows on the Pavements: Trees in the town

This walk – without any claim to being scientific – will illustrate the diversity of many urban trees and will show different interesting specimens. One will learn to know and admire the trees of our streets.

Lausanne has aArbres P1000305 200 reputation of being a "green town" and has many parks and public walks. Also the squares, its avenues and its streets have been planted with some 10'000 trees of different fragrances, some exotic or local, often unknown species which provide shade and oxygen to the pedestrians.
