Shadows on the Pavements : the trees in Ouchy

What would a walk along the quays of Ouchy be without the many trees along the road and in the parks.

We propose a visit on the subject of the different trees, not only to know their names but also to admire and learn about them.

This visit is open to everyone.

P1000404 Ouchy arbresAll along the quays you can see a number of exotic plants, bushes of extraordinary blooms and a number of flowerbeds with annual and bi-annual flowers. Not forgetting the imposing and large fir trees, cedars and sequoias.

Most of these big trees were planted between 1896 and 1901.

Overlooking the quays are three major parks

  • Elysee Park
  • The Olympic Park
  • Denantou Park
